Our history

LOWER CLARENCE SUNS AFL CLUB

The Lower Clarence Suns AFL Club was incorporated in November 2022 to bring Australian Rules Football back to the Lower Clarence, launching its first season in 2023 following strong community interest sparked by a local Auskick program involving around 100 children.

Beginning with Auskick, Under 10s and Under 12s, the club has since expanded to include Under 14s, Under 15s girls and Under 17s girls teams and an inclusive AFL 9s social competition.

Based at the Ngayundi Yamba Sports Complex and proudly supported by AFL and AFL North Coast, the Suns have quickly become a cornerstone of community sport in the region.
